CSX plans to block traffic at the railroad crossings at Main and Depot Streets October 21, 22 and 23 for routine maintenance.
According to CSX representatives, the railroad crossing will be blocked Friday through Sunday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m.
Traffic will be blocked at both intersections.
As a part of its ongoing infrastructure maintenance, crews will be upgrading the railroad signals including the signals that direct train traffic as well as warning signals that stop traffic.
“To avoid traffic congestion while the warning lights and gates are disabled and replaced, CSX has coordinated with the city of LaGrange to temporarily close Main Street and Depot Street crossings to roadway traffic,” said CSX Spokesperson Rob Doolittle.
“We appreciate the community’s patience while we work as quickly as possible to complete this important work, which helps maintain the safety of both train crews and local drivers. “
