Mrs. Helen Shade, 97, of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away Friday, Oct. 20, 2017.  Mrs. Shade was born Dec. 28, 1919, in Troup County the daughter of Alex Poolos and Rose Kersey Poolos. She was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square, and she and her husband were in the restaurant business and also interior design with specialization in wall paper.

Mrs. Shade was preceded in death by her husband, Mervil Shade, her parents, brothers, George, Morgan, Clark, and Richard Poolos, and her sister, Margaret Lemieux.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Sandra Heath Taylor, Linda McCord and Van Brannon.

Graveside Services for Mrs. Helen Shade will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Hillview Annex Cemetery with the rev. Cade Farris officiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday one hour prior to the service at the Hunter- Allen-Myhand Funeral Home.
