LaGrange Mall announces winner of Festive Five

The LaGrange Mall announced today that Gardner Newman Intermediate Band is the winner of The Festive Five earning the most votes and the title of LaGrange’s Festive Favorite.

The five night event featured choirs, musicians, dance groups and more spreading holiday cheer through live performances. Throughout the week the community could vote for their favorite holiday performance to become the 2017 Festive Favorite.

“We want to thank all of the acts who participated and made The Festive Five a success! Our community is full of talented individuals and groups who came together to kick off the holiday season. Congratulations to Gardner Newman Intermediate Band on winning the title of LaGrange’s Festive Favorite! We look forward to continuing and growing this event year after year,” said Coles Doyle, Marketing Director for Hull Property Group, owner of the LaGrange Mall.

Gardner Newman Intermediate Band, directed by Janet Barber, consists of students from Gardner Newman Middle School. During their performance at The Festive Five, the band played Silent Night, Winter Wonderland, Carol of the Drum and Jingle Bells. As the winner of The Festive Five, Gardner Newman Intermediate Band will receive The Festive Favorite award and be featured on the holiday mural located in the Mall.

Other groups who performed during the five nights included: The Active Life Line Dancers, Faithful Hearts, Monica M. Grier, Neil Brumbeloe, The Active Life Ballroom Dancers, LaGrange Academy Middle School Chorus and The Sons of Lafayette. The Festive Five is hosted by the LaGrange Mall at no cost to participating performers.
