Patricia Diane Folds Kebble Creel passed away quietly at her home in Grantville last Thursday evening. Born on Nov. 22, 1959, in LaGrange. Diane was a lifelong resident of the community and will always be remembered for her exuberant personality and enthusiastic optimism.
As a local entrepreneur, restaurateur, and friendly face about town, Diane’s colorful presence and compassion for all that crossed her path will be greatly missed by many. Never one to meet a stranger, Diane could often be found chatting with new friends on her daily errands or lending a bit of advice to those in need. Diane saw the best in everyone and every situation, never letting an accomplishment or occasion pass without celebration. Both in good times and bad, Diane was there to lend an ear, offer words of encouragement, and remind the world that unconditional love and togetherness conquers all. She was a dedicated wife, determined “Mama Bear,” devoted daughter, beloved little sister, adventurous aunt, and compassionate friend to those closest to her.
Continuing her larger-than-life legacy are her husband, Chris Creel, son, Margan Keeble, mother, Brynell Folds, sister, Deborah Folds Rainey-Pettay and several nieces and nephews. She joins her father, Joel Folds, in Heaven.
Services are being held at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home, 506 Hill Street, LaGrange. A visitation was Monday, Nov. 20, from 5p.m. to 7p.m., with funeral services scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Reverend Bobby Robinson officiated with interment to follow in Meadoway Gardens Cemetery.
