We have a lot to be thankful for

We’re sure for many of you reading this, preparation for today’s big meal has already started.
The turkey will soon be in the oven, the pies are cooked and all of the fixings will be finished shortly.
Like all of you, we have a lot to be thankful for this year.
We’re thankful for our readers and our subscribers, who have been open with feedback this year as we’ve made changes to the design of the newspaper. We’re thankful for our advertising partners for trusting us to spread their message.
We’re thankful for the firefighters, police officers and other first responders who are working hard today patrolling our streets, and we’re thankful for the men and women serving our country in the armed forces.
We’re thankful to live in a country where we have the freedom of the press and that although there is bad news sometimes, there’s a lot of good in this community that we get to report on too.
No matter what your holiday tradition is, we hope you’ll take a few minutes (or hours) and put down your cell phone, your tablets, your laptop and spend some time with friends and family.
Not everyone is able to spend this holiday with their friends and family, and we should be appreciative of the people who are here that we can spend the day with.
We wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving and hope you all have a fantastic day with family members and friends.
