Breakthrough win for Grangers

COLUMBUS – The LaGrange Grangers, after two close losses to start the season, outlasted the Northside Patriots 84-80 on Friday night in overtime.
In the four-minute extra period, LaGrange scored 13 points to pull off the dramatic win.
There was no suspense in the girls’ game, with LaGrange overwhelming Northside 78-44.
Senior guard Aryan Dozier had a monster night for LaGrange with 36 points, and she made three 3-pointers.
Blair Herrod added 15 points for LaGrange, Katelyn Hill scored eight points, and Madison Coverson scored seven points.
LaGrange had no problem finding the baske early.
The Lady Grangers led 28-18 after the first quarter, with Dozier scoring 15 points in the first eight minutes.
LaGrange led 41-26 at the half, and it continued to pull away in the second half.
