The celebration of life Service for Mrs. Martha Bell Tatum Talley of LaGrange will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church in the Gabbettville Community. Pastor B. Orr will officiate.   Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Talley, a native of Troup County, was born March 27, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Robert Tatum Sr. and Mary Reed Tatum. 

She was retired employee of the Troup County School System. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a faithful and loving member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served as church secretary and a member of the church choir.  She enjoyed ceramics, Southern cooking and was very passionate with children. She impacted the lives of many children.

She leaves to cherish her memories,  her daughter, Almelia Tatum, LaGrange; son, Robert R. Tatum, LaGrange; sister, Mary Florence Lynch, Southfield, Michigan; other loving family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Talley; brothers: Robert Tatum Jr., John R. Tatum, Arthur Lee Tatum; and her twin sister, Mary Tatum.

The family will be at 1017 Cannonville Road.
