Mrs. Joan Patricia Carter Stedman, age 94, of LaGrange, passed away on Dec. 10, 2017, at her residence.  Mrs. Stedman was born on April 22, 1923, in Birmingham, England to the late Thomas Carter and Sara Fenn Carter.

She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing and was a social services director for Social Resources Incorporated.

Survivors include her son, Paul Stedman; daughters, Vivienne Brown (Leslie) and Maureen Dahlstrom (David); five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; extended family.
