Mrs. Sara Carolyn Blankenship, 81, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at West Georgia Hospice.

Mrs. Blankenship was born July 10, 1936, in Tupelo, Mississippi. She retired at Kaydon as a Purchasing Agent and a member of the First Baptist Church on the Square. She earned her BS degree in Business at LaGrange College and was preceded in death by a son, Charles Cato and daughter, Toni Simmons.

Survivors include husband, Dale Blankenship; sister, Virginia McCarter; grandson, Jeremy Allen, and a great granddaughter; Ruby Allen.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, in the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary LaGrange Chapel with Rev. Paul Blair officiating. The gathering of family and friends will be on Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Burial will be at Restlawn Memory Gardens.
