Bobbie Jean Martin passed away Sunday.

She was born Sept. 24, 1943, to the late Emma Lou Martin and Melvin Jenkins.

She was educated in Troup County Public Schools and worked for Milliken and Company for many years, and a devoted member of Mount Pleasant CME Church in Troup County for many years.

Survivors include her children:  Angela Martin (Willie Joe) Simpson, LaGrange, Georgia; Phyllis Martin, Atlanta, Georgia; Laquintus (Erica) Martin; seven grandchildren; sisters, Nadine and Willie Sturdivant, Kenneth and Sonja Martin, all of Ypsilant, Michigan; Vanessa and Felton Coverson, LaGrange, Georgia; two aunts, Bethina Towns-Porter, Oakridge, Tennessee; Mary Lou Towns-Strozier, Morrow, Georgia; and special nephew, and a host of relatives and friends.

The service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Confidence Baptist Church.
