Marcus Harrison Taylor

Marcus Harrison Taylor, age 41, left this earth and became our guardian angel on Tuesday, Dec. 26, while in the arms of his wife, Elizabeth, in their home in Atlanta.

Marcus was born Nov. 24, 1976, to Pamela and Harold Taylor, of LaGrange, Georgia. His childhood was spent in LaGrange with his parents and brother Jonathan. He graduated from Troup County High School in 1995 where he was a varsity wrestler for one of the top teams in the state. Marcus’ path led him to Georgia Tech where he graduated with bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Marcus was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vern and Chris Cutler (Springfield, Georgia), and his paternal grandfather Jack Taylor (Jesup, Georgia).

Marcus was survived by his wife, Elizabeth Taylor; parents, Pamela and Harold Taylor (LaGrange); brother, Jonathan and Ginger Taylor (LaGrange); grandmother Minnie A. Taylor (Jesup, Georgia); in-laws Mark and Maureen McKiernan (Birchwood, Minnesota); sister and brother-in-law Colleen and Matt Christianson (Hugo, Minnesota); nephew and nieces; Hayden and Ava Taylor and Addison Christianson; many aunts and uncles, Danny Cutler (Merry Ann), Gene Cutler (Kitty), Glenn Taylor (Terri), Pat Malone (Emmit), Rod Taylor (Polly) and Rhonda Sells (Allen) and many special cousins.

Memorial service will be held on Jan. 4, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Buckhead Church: 3336 Peachtree Rd, Atlanta, Georgia 30326. Contributions in Marcus’ name can be sent to Buckhead Church:
