The Troup Lady Tigers evened their Region 5-AAAA record at 2-2 with a 47-32 blowout win over visiting Cedartown on Friday.

Cedartown led 10-9 after the first quarter, but Troup dominated the second period to take a 24-17 lead at the break.

The Lady Tigers were up by 10 through three periods, and they continued to pull away in the final quarter.

Jedda Madden and Amber Gilbert each scored 10 points to lead a balanced Troup scoring attack.

Kiya Fulton added eight points, Aundracia Riggins scored six points, and seven Troup players scored.

Troup can move above .500 in the region with a home win over Central-Carroll today.

The teams played in a tournament at Haralson County in November, with Central winning 46-43.

“We owe them from the tournament,” Troup head coach Carla Thornton said. “We felt like we beat ourselves in that game.”
