Mr. Bill Norsworthy, 75, of LaGrange passed away Jan. 18, 2018, at WellStar Hospice LaGrange.

Bill was born Billy Ray Norsworthy Feb. 14, 1942, in Heard County the son of the late Robert and Wilma Pauline Cosper Thompson. Bill for many years here in LaGrange was the Tom’s Distributor later working as a bus driver for the Troup County School Board. For a number of years, he was involved in the jail ministry at the Troup County Work Camp and also led services at Royal Elaine Nursing Home.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carol Norsworthy, LaGrange, Georgia; three daughters and one son-in-law, Tracy Dixon of Birmingham, Alabama, Kelly Langston of Daphne, Alabama and Billie Kaye and Chris Davis (Chaplain U.S. Army); son, Chad Norsworthy, LaGrange, Georgia; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother and sister in-law, Frank and Sarah Jean Thompson of Wadley, Alabama; sister, Mrs. Florene Hendrix, Beulah, Alabama.

Funeral services for Mr. Bill Norsworthy will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the chapel of the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home with Chaplin Chris Davis, U.S. Army officiating with entombment in Shadowlawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
