After an unplanned break, it’s time to get back to work for the local basketball teams.

The Callaway, LaGrange and Troup basketball teams will all be on the court today for the first time in more than a week.

Each of those teams had games postponed last week because of the winter storm.

LaGrange and Troup will be at home for key Region 5-AAAA matchups, while Callaway’s teams will be at Temple in Region 5-AA action.

At LaGrange, it will be Troup County Parks and Recreation Commission day.

Any recreation player wearing a team jersey will be admitted free, along with his or her family.

Recreation night was originally going to be on Friday, but the games against Central-Carroll were postponed.

LaGrange is hosting Cedartown today, with the girls’ game set to begin at 4 p.m., and the boys’ game to follow.

It will be the start of the second half of the region schedule for both LaGrange teams.

The Lady Grangers are in first place at 6-0, while the Grangers are in second place at 4-2.

Troup’s teams will reach the midpoint of their region schedules with home games against Sandy Creek today.

The girls’ game tips off at 2:30 p.m., with the boys’ game to follow.

Both the Troup girls’ and boys’ teams are 3-2 in the region.

Callaway and Temple were supposed to play on Tuesday, but the games were postponed, and the makeup date was set for today.

The girls’ game starts at 4:30 p.m., and the boys’ game follows.

The Lady Cavs are tied for first place in the region at 3-1, while the Cavaliers are 1-3.
