Cora B. Woodyard

Cora B. Woodyard passed away Sunday.

She was born June 16, 1932, to the late Susie Bailey in Troup County, Georgia.

She attended Zion Hill Baptist Church in LaGrange, Georgia, and was employed by Troup County School System.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Baily) Johnson, Doretha Woodyard, Ervin (Patricia) Woodyard and Jerome (Patricia) Woodyard; in addition:  Hint Tuner, Otis Woodyard, Jr., Sally Ransom, Diana McCrary, Joseph Williams, Gwen Summerville, Sandra Bailey and Beverly Bailey; 26 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Wylen Smith; two sisters, Christine Ligon and Carrie Ruth Ligon; brother, Harold Ligon; six sisters-in-law, Sherry Kennedy, Sheila Curtis, Sherry Bailey, Helen Woodyard, Katie Strozier, Patricia Knight; one brother-in-law, Alfred (Rudene) Woodyard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.; and a great-grandson with whom she shared a special bond, D. J. Langston.

The service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church.
