Sarah Nell Ellison passed away Friday.

She was born March 1932 to the late James and Bessie Gates Ellison in LaGrange, Georgia.

She united with St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, graduated from East Depot High School, Class of 1950; and attended Business College in Atlanta. She was employed with DC’s Department of Human Services until retirement in 1991.

Survivors include her sister, Barbara Heard, New York, New York and a host of cousins and friends.

The graveside service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Southview Cemetery.
