PEACHTREE CITY – It’s time to turn the page.
The LaGrange Grangers lost to McIntosh 4-3 on Saturday to fall to 2-12, but they’ll in essence be starting over on Tuesday when they begin their Region 5-AAAA schedule against Cedartown.
The Grangers have faced a formidable non-region schedule, and they’ve struggled to find wins, although they’ve been competitive in most of their games.
That was the case again on Saturday.
LaGrange had a 3-1 lead after scoring a pair of runs in the top of the fourth inning, but McIntosh rallied for the home win.
Ben Stogner had a hit and an RBI for the Grangers, and Seth Prather, Wesley Kuhn and Brant Williams each had a hit.
Walton Lanier, Prather and Will Alford scored LaGrange’s run.
Williams got the start for LaGrange, and he pitched 3 2/3 innings, and he allowed three runs on four hits while striking out four.
Lanier finished things off with 2 1/3 effective innings, holding McIntosh to one run on four hits.
