KENNETH LAMAR GORDON

Ken Gordon, 70, of LaGrange, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born Aug. 22, 1947, in Hogansville, Mr. Gordon was the son of the late Beamous and Margie Beall Gordon. In 1965, he won the National Competition for the 4-H Club in Washington D.C., was a graduate of Hogansville High School and the State University of West Georgia and was a veteran of service in the U. S. Marine Corps. Ken earned his law degree from Emory University Law School and served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1972. He practiced law his whole life and was involved in real estate, investment and management. An avid golfer and sports fan, he sponsored and coached the Georgia Stars, a traveling baseball team which won two national championships, and positively affected the lives of hundreds of young men. 

Survivors include his wife, Gail Lee Gordon; daughter, Dr. Stephanie Gordon (David Jongebreur); son, William Lee Gordon (Jessie); granddaughters, Molly Rowan Jongebreur, Annie Hope Jongebreur, Ella Charlotte Jongebreur; sister, Kay Gordon Pellicer (Tony); brother, David Gordon (Patty); and several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Ken will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, at Abby Manor at 3073 Highway 100 in Greenville.
