Charlie Calvin Pitts passed away Saturday.

The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pitts was born in LaGrange, Georgia.

He united with Mt. Pleasant CME Church, and retired from Troup County School System.

Survivors include, his companion of 45 years, Vera Mae White; five children, Tina Thomas, Harvey (Felicia) Harden, Gwendolyn Harden, Tammy (Jeffrey) Ellis, James (Tiwanza) White; one sister, Letha Mae (Sherman) Burden; nieces; two sisters-in-law, Idella Glanton and Annie Lois Harden; one brother-in-law, Sylvester Harden Jr.; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Confidence.

The family will be at their home at 219 East Render Street.

The excellent care of Mr. Pitts is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
