LaGrange Academy eases past Flint river

WOODBURY – The LaGrange Academy Warriors moved to 2-0 in region play with a 12-2 road win over Flint River on Tuesday.

Mason Brown pitched the seven-inning complete game, and he was backed up by a defense that didn’t commit any errors.

Offensively, the Warriors pounded out 18 hits, and they scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to put it away.

Riley Hess had a big day at the plate with four hits and three RBIs, and Luke Swann had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and two RBIs.

Brown also had three hits with an RBI, and Joseph Calhoun had a hit and two RBIs.

Evan Smith had two hits, and Braden Haynes and John Whitlow each had a hit and an RBI.

Daniel Swann, Brent Kardoes and Andrew Knight each had one hit.

LaGrange Academy will host The Cottage School on Thursday.
