Mr. and Mrs. Brent Conrad of LaGrange, Georgia, are happy to announce the engagement of their daughter Kara Conrad of Washington D.C., to Mr. Garrett Riba, also of Washington, D.C.  Miss Conrad is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Kimball, Mrs. Linda Conrad, and the late Mr. Don Conrad, all of Anderson, Indiana.  She graduated from LaGrange High School in 2010.

Kara is a 2014 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in International Affairs and is employed with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Riba is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reese Riba and the grandson of Ms. Helen Riba, all of Evans, Georgia, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Eastburn. He is a 2009 graduate of Greenbriar High School in Evans. Garrett graduated from the University of Georgia in 2012 with degrees in Spanish and criminal justice, and from George Washington University in 2015 with a master’s degree in security policy studies.  Mr. Riba is employed with the Government Accountability Office.

The wedding will be this summer at First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange, Georgia.
