Truth in Nature, a 501c3 non profit organization will begin outdoor mentorship and ministry programs for fatherless and single parent boys beginning summer 2018. The program will kick off with an open house on Saturday, May 5, at Western Heights Baptist Church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
We are excited about the potential to reach many fatherless young men in the greater LaGrange area.
Founded in 2009 in Dallas, Georgia, Truth in Nature has grown to reach, inspire, support and engage young men from fatherless and single parent homes in six different locations and states.
The LaGrange chapter will be led by Troup County High School teacher and coach Jeff Benefield.
“We are excited about the opportunity to engage more young men in the community with local mentors to make a difference in their life,” Benefield said.
A Christian based organization, young men can expect to engage with mentors in an outdoor setting, while being encouraged to become a Christian man and positive member of the community.
In partnership with Truth in Nature to make these programs possible are Reed Lewis of Lonesome Jake Preserve along with the men of Western Heights Baptist Church. These programs are free of charge for these young men after registration paperwork has been completed.
Local Troup County residents are encouraged to support Truth in Nature as we seek mentors, partnerships with local businesses, contributors and referrals from young men that meet these criteria. In addition, Truth in Nature looks forward to seeing you at the open house as listed above.
