Warriors enjoy big offensive day in win

The LaGrange Academy Warriors had the bats working.

In a game shortened to four innings because of the run rule, LaGrange Academy overwhelmed Notre Dame Academy 23-1 on Friday.

Four different LaGrange Academy players had four hits,.

Among those players was Brent Kardoes, who drove in four runs.

Luke Swann had four hits, including a double, and he knocked in three runs.

Mason Brown also had four hits with three RBIs, and Joseph Calhoun had four hits, including a triple, and two RBIs.

Hess had two hits and five RBIs, and Daniel Swann had a double and two RBIs.

Jaimie Fernandez had a hit and an RBI, and Braden Haynes had a hit.

Evan Smith walked and drove in two runs, and John Whitlow walked and scored a run.

Hess pitched the four-inning complete game, and he held Notre Dame to two hits while striking out three.
