Callaway’s boys’ team won 3-1, with Grayson Lambert, Joe Neese and Wes Brooks each scoring goals.

In the girls’ game, Callaway won 5-1.

Kelly Carlisle scored four goals, and Amiya McCurty added one goal.

In between Thursday’s games, the seniors for the girls’ and boys’ teams were both recognized.

Callaway’s teams both finished as the number two seed in Region 5-AA, and they’ll be at home for the first round of the state playoffs next week.

Callaway’s boys’ team tied for the region championship with Lamar County, and those teams split their two regular-season meetings.

Lamar County earned the top seed because of the tiebreaker.

Callaway’s girls’ team finished second to Lamar County.

TROUP: Auburn’s boys’ team scored a pair of second-half goals to get past Troup 2-0 on Friday at Callaway Stadium.

In the girls’ game, Auburn claimed a 10-0 victory.

It was the season finale for both Troup teams.
