Mrs. Betty Jean Shepherd-Hudson

Betty Jean Shepherd-Hudson passed away Saturday.
She was born on February 28, 1968, to the late Willie George and Ruby Lee Shepherd in Harris County, Georgia.
She united with Smith Chapel U.M.C. where she served faithfully until her death. She was blessed with an angelic voice and began playing the piano and singing in the church choir in her early teenage years.
Betty was a 1986 graduate of Troup High School and a 2000 graduate of West Georgia Technical College where she received a diploma in Business and Technology and was employed with Harris County DFACS.
Survivors include her husband, Alonzo Hudson; two son, Brandon and Justin Hudson; one granddaughter, one honorary grandson; two sisters, Annette Baker (Jeffery) and Charlotte Ferguson (Jeffery); four special nephews, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, cousins and friends.
The service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Smith Chapel U M Church. The family will be at their home at 25 Shepherd Drive, Pine Mountain.
The excellent care of Mrs. Hudson is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
