The First Tee of Troup County is giving everyone a chance to win a brand new Toyota Camry this week. All you have to do is make a hole-in-one.

The event is sponsored by LaGrange Toyota.

“They can come as many times as they want for the four days it is going on,” said Michelle Griffith, executive director of The First Tee of Troup County.

It costs $10 to take part in the contest, and there is no limit on how many times a person can participate. The contest will continue through Friday.

The First Tee also has summer golf classes starting June 4 for kids ages 5 to 18.

The cost for 5 and 6-year-olds is $45 and it’s $20 for 7 to 18-year-olds.

The First Tee is also hosting summer camps to teach the fundamentals of golf to aspiring and young golfers. The camps are June 4-June 8, June 18-22 and July 9-13.

In addition to the classes and camps, The First Tee is hosting a junior golf tournament series, starting June 5 and going through July 31.

“It’s a youth development organization that teaches life skills through the game of golf,” Griffith said. “Not only are they coming out and learning a sport, but they are also learning life skills — honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. And there’s also healthy life habits that go along with the life skills.”
