Mr. Roger James Baker, 47, of Newberry, South Carolina, passed away May, 20, 2018, in Newberry County, South Carolina. Roger was born May 22, 1970, in LaGrange, the son of Jim and Lona Baker and was a 1998 graduate of Troup High School and a heavy equipment operator in the South Carolina area.

Survivors include his parents, Jim and Lona Baker, Greenville, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Tammy Baker, LaGrange, Georgia, nieces and nephew, Randy Eugene Baker II, Ashley and Stephanie; fiancée, Kori Smith, of Newberry, South Carolina. A time of remembrance and celebration will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home.
