Anthony Jerome “Boss” Freeman passed away Monday.

He was born on Aug. 26, 1966, to the late Hazel Jean Atkinson Freeman and Green Freeman. 

Boss graduated LaGrange High School, and immediately began Auburn University and graduated in 1990, and  he was employed by Troup County Recreation Department. 

Survivors include his daughter, Shakena Brooks; granddaughter, Brooklyn McFarland; sisters, Connie Jean (Arthur) Patterson and Angela Atkinson; brother, Telly (Kojack) Dukes and Michael (Suella) Coffield; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; life mate, Katrina  Brooks and children whom he loved and cherished as his own,  Cokena Fields, Trinaivtious Brooks, Nykira Brooks, Chris Kennedy; and grandson Kayson Brooks.

The service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, West Point.

The family will be at their home at 114 Hamilton Street.

The excellent care of Mr. Freeman is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
