What’s closed on the Fourth?

With the Fourth of July holiday, many local offices will be closed to allow their employees to celebrate our nation’s freedom.
All nonessential offices in the City of LaGrange will be closed for the holiday. All offices will reopen on Thursday. Also, Wednesday’s trash and recycling pickup will be moved to Thursday, and Thursday trash and recycling pickup will occur on Friday.
Hogansville City Hall will also be closed in observance of Independence Day, and Wednesday trash pickups will occur on Thursday in the city. Hogansville residents should report utility emergencies at (706) 637-6648.
All county offices will be closed for the holiday except for essential offices, meaning public safety. Additionally, all Troup County Convenience Centers will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. Centers will reopen on Thursday.
The United States Postal Service will not be open on July 4, and there will be no mail delivery on Wednesday. Since there is no mail, there will not be an edition of the LaGrange Daily News on July 4.
