When the Georgia Bulldogs take center stage at the SEC media days next week, former Callaway Cavalier Terry Godwin will be one of the men in the spotlight.
Georgia will have three players participating in the annual event, and Godwin will be one of them.
Godwin, a senior wide receiver, will be joined by senior defensive end Jonathan Ledbetter and junior safety J.R. Reed.
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart will also be on hand to answer questions from the media members.
Smart will be at the podium at about 9 a.m. on Tuesday, and he’ll be followed by the three players.
Godwin, after an exceptional prep career at Callaway that included a trip to the state semifinals in 2013, had plenty of options when it came time to choose a college, and he decided to become a Bulldog.
Godwin has been a big-time player for three seasons at Georgia, and his junior year was his best.
Godwin had 38 catches with six touchdowns last season, and that included a remarkable one-handed catch for a score in a critical road win over Notre Dame.
Godwin had 35 catches with two touchdowns as a freshman, and he was the most valuable player in the TaxSlayer Bowl.
Godwin had 38 catches as a sophomore, and last year he was the second-leading receiver on a team that made it to the national-championship game before losing to Alabama.
In a thrilling 54-48 win over Oklahoma in the semifinals, Godwin had five catches for 51 yards.
