Triston Dozier, a former LaGrange Granger and a standout defensive back at Gardner Webb, represented his school at the Big South Media Day last week in Charlotte, N.C.

Dozier, a junior, was a starter as a freshman and a sophomore, and he had 23 tackles and eight pass break-ups last season, and he also blocked two kicks.

As a freshman, Dozier started nine games and had 20 tackles and four pass break-ups.

Dozier signed with Gardner Webb following an exceptional senior season at LaGrange when he had 50 tackles with four interceptions, and he returned a fumble for a touchdown, and had a kickoff return for a score.

Dozier and his Gardner Webb teammates will look to turn things around following a tough 2017 season when the team managed just one win.
