Leita Jean Loftin Simpson, age 86, of LaGrange passed away on July 31, 2018. She was born on July 12, 1932, to the late Stephen Loftin and Vassie Carr Loftin of Carrolton. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years James Simpson; daughter, Karen S. Richey; son, Tracy Simpson.

Survivors include her son, Stanley Simpson (Beth); daughter, Amy Simpson; grandchildren, Sarah Jones (Matt), Laurie Peterson, Joshua Richey (Nikki); great grandchildren, Madison Furgerson, Gabrielle Furgerson, Tucker Richey, Journi Richey; friend, Donna Jones; and her comforting companion and kitten, Malachi Jones.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, Aug.  2, 2018, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home with service to follow on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
