State tournament comes to LaGrange

For the seventh straight year, the USTA tri-level state tournament will be held in Troup County.
The tournament, which will bring together hundreds of players from across the state, begins on Friday and concludes on Sunday.
Matches will be played at McCluskey Tennis Center, LaGrange College and Callaway High.
The Chattahoochee Valley Tennis Association will be the host organization for the tournament.
In all, there will be 59 teams and 657 players competing in the tournament, with the winners in the different division advancing to the regional tournament in Jackson, Miss.
CHATA will have four women’s teams and one men’s team competing.
Play begins at 8 a.m. on Friday, and the championship matches will be on Sunday afternoon.
