Calumet Bank names Tracy Van Norman Columbus city president

Calumet Bank announced the promotion of Tracy Van Norman to the position of Columbus city president.

Van Norman joined the Bank in 2017 as a commercial lender, and he will now assume the position as market leader for Columbus, according to a press release.

“Since joining the bank, Tracy has shown proven leadership skills by heading an effort to nearly double deposits in the Columbus market,” said Lenny Bateman, president and chief executive officer of Calumet Bank. “We are excited to give Tracy additional responsibilities as our market president for Columbus.”

“I am honored and appreciative of the confidence placed in me by the board of directors and executive management with this promotion,” Van Norman said. “Calumet Bank provides an authentic community perspective to banking that is critical to the success of small businesses and consumers in the Columbus market, and I am proud to be a part of that.”

A native of Biloxi, Van Norman attended the University of Southern Mississippi and completed his studies at Troy University, earning a B.S.B.A. in global business management. He also attended the ABA National Compliance School and the ABA National Commercial Lending School, both at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

Community-centered, Van Norman resides with his wife, Beth, in LaGrange.  He currently serves Rotary District 6900 as assistant governor and is a past president of the Rotary Club of North Columbus.

He is a member of the 2014 class of Leadership Columbus and has also held leadership roles on the boards of directors of the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Troup.  He is an avid runner and golfer.
