New Horizon Community Theatre in West Point, will present Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, Aug. 23-25.
The fairytale is brought to life through song and dance.
The show features the theater’s youngest players ages 5-12 and is focused on introducing young children to the world of theater.
“I like ‘Sleeping Beauty’ because it gives us a break from life, and it’s fun to hang out with the other kids,” said Robbie Reed, 10, who plays the part of King Hubert.
For many of the children, it’s only their first or second show at the theater.
“It’s been magical watching their excitement as the show comes together a little more each week,” director Noelle Reed said.
