Mr. Tommy Cox Sr.

Tommy Cox Sr. passed away Tuesday.
He was born Sept. 2, 1942, to the late Marvin and Irene Cox Walker in LaGrange.
Tom joined St. Paul Baptist Church and later attended Friendship Baptist Church. He graduated from Ethel W. Kight High School, Class of 1963 and was employed by Milliken’s Valway Plant.
Survivors include his wife, Rosetta Cox; two daughters, Renea (Stephen) Simmons of Acworth, Georgia; and Pamela Cox of Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren; one brother, Grover Cox; three sisters, Catherine Johnson, Ethel (Rev. John) Tompkins and Marian Byrd; sisters-in-law, Amanda McFerson, Christine Cameron, Leanna (Bobby) Shepherd and Patricia Cox; many nieces and nephews, all of whom he was excitedly proud; and his extended family.
The celebration of life service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church.
The family will be at their home at 947 Long Cane Road.
The excellent care of Mr. Cox is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
