It was a washout.

The LaGrange and Troup softball teams were supposed to meet in a Region 5-AAAA showdown on Tuesday, but the game was postponed because of rain.

The teams will try again today, with first pitch set for 5 p.m. at Granger Park.

The junior-varsity game was played, with LaGrange winning 3-1.

As soon as that game ended, a heavy rain fell, and the field was deemed unplayable.

LaGrange beat Troup 13-5 on the opening day of the season, although that wasn’t a region game.

Troup brings a 2-1 region record into the game, while LaGrange is 1-0 in the region.
