Finding joy in everyday life
Published 3:05 pm Monday, September 3, 2018
Don’t let anyone steal your joy. Every day we all have choices to make, little people or small thinkers let people mess up their day over little stuff. The other day someone said, “How do you put up with all the people fussing about little stuff?”
My response was, “If selling real estate was easy, everyone would do it. We have to stay focused on the big picture and get people to closing.”
Tomorrow when someone cuts you off in traffic and sends you a one finger message, just laugh at them. Do not let them mess with your joy. The only person who can give up your joy each day is the person who looks at you in the mirror.
Ninety-nine percent of everything we worry about never happens anyway. Speaking of joy in your life, make a point of finding something funny in something you’re doing and laugh at yourself. If you can laugh at yourself life gets lots better. If you cannot find something funny hang around with me and some of my friends. We will, with a lot of love, let you know when you do something stupid.
After spending time with my shooting partners, you would never know everyone has a loaded gun with all the comments Charlie makes.
It is there, I promise. Keep your joy, find something to laugh about and you will be much happier, guaranteed.
We are blessed to
live here
The big yellow toys (bulldozers) are all around us. What does that mean to you and me? Growth, prosperous times and more jobs coming our way.
Yes, Troup County is moving forward. We have much to be thankful for. We have good, honest leaders who have the best interest of the future growth of Troup County at heart. We have three great schools of higher learning here — LaGrange College, West Georgia Tech and Point University. That is a really big deal.
We have a great industrial park that has good clean jobs here. You do not smell our park 15 miles before you see it. That’s not a joke. We are so blessed to have West Point Lake in our backyard that brings 1 million guests here a year.
One thing that is such a big blessing is The Callaway Foundation. Look what they have done for everyone. It would take hours to scratch the surface of what they have done. They are truly one of our biggest blessings.
The next time you’re on vacation, look and think about all the great things that happen here.
Then you will also say, “We are blessed to live here.”
