Mr. James Larry Bain, age 71, of LaGrange, passed away at his home on Sept. 8, 2018.  He was born in Tallassee, Alabama, on March 26, 1947, to the late Charles William Bain and the late Minnie Thornton Bain. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He owned and operated Bain’s Body Shop. Mr. Bain was a member of the D.A.V., V.F.W., American Legion and a Mason in the Hogansville Masonic Lodge #93. He was a long-time member of the Ayers Memorial United Methodist Church. 

Mr. Bain is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pamela Sue Dodson Bain; his daughter, Mandy Bain Whatley; his brothers, Buddy Bain (Sandra) and Kenneth Bain (Mary); his sister, Ann Yarbrough (Larry); granddaughter, Chloe Whatley  and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Higgins LaGrange Chapel on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Hester officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until service time on Tuesday. A committal service will directly follow the funeral and will be held at Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange.
