Weekend full of family fun activities

It was a busy weekend in LaGrange, one that involved several large community events including Bark at the Park, the Visual Artist Alliance of LaGrange show and the LIFE Festival.
Bark at the Park was started by HYPE, a young professionals group, to raise money for the LaGrange-Troup County Humane Society. The race included both a 5K and a 1-mile dog walk, giving all of the area pooches a chance to get outside and have some fun.
Not only is the race a good time, but it puts attention on the humane society — which could always use extra help, whether it comes in the form of money, volunteer work or other donations.
The LIFE Festival is always one of the most unique events in LaGrange each year. If you went, you know everybody who goes gets a passport and has the opportunity to “travel around the world.” LaGrange is a small town, and this festival is a special one that most others cities can’t replicate. It gives people a chance to learn about other cultures and brings the world a little closer together. There are a lot of family fun weekends in LaGrange each year, but this past weekend is one of those special few each year. Thanks to everyone who helped make this weekend possible.
