Her timing has been impeccable.
Caitlynn Croft, who was a multi-sport standout at LaGrange Academy, has scored goals in three games this season, and Agnes Scott’s women’s soccer team has won them all.
Two of Croft’s goals proved to be the game winner, and she also had two first-half goals in Tuesday’s 3-2 victory over Sewanee.
Following her second game-winning goal of the season, which came in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Oglethorpe, Croft was named the USA South women’s soccer player of the year.
Croft made a strong bid to be a repeat winner as the conference player of the week with her performance on Tuesday against Sewanee.
Croft scored two goals in the first 20 minutes, and Jasmine Young found the net with less than a minute remaining to give Agnes Scott the 3-2 win.
Croft is a four-year starter, and she has 19 career goals and seven assists.
After scoring seven goals as a freshman, Croft had four goals in each of her next two seasons.
Croft already has four goals this season.
