Larmardi Wayne Battle passed away Tuesday in Tucson, Arizona.

He was born Sept. 10, 1950, in LaGrange, Georgia, to the late Mattie K. Battle Tomas and Marvin Davis.

He united with Valley Grove Baptist Church, attended LaGrange High School, Jones College and West Georgia Technical College; and he was a Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his brother, LeMercer Lane Battle, Tucson, Arizona; sisters, Scottie A. Stitch, Newark, New Jersey, and Ernestine A. Copeland, Newark, New Jersey; a devoted cousin, Juanita Reid Maney; along with other sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and friends.

The service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Valley Grove Baptist Church.

The family will be at their home at 217 Grady Street.

The excellent care of Mr. Battle is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
