Jerry Levi Gunn, 84, of Hogansville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, at West Georgia Hospice.

Born Jan. 10, 1934, in Atlanta Georgia, he was the son of William and Evelyn (Crook) Gunn. He worked for many years for Ford Motor Company in Hapeville, Georgia. Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He would sit around in the evenings and play guitar in his retirement. 

 He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Roberta (Hendrickson) Gunn of Hogansville; five sons, William “Blaine” (Regina) Gunn of Hiawassee Georgia, Steven (Debbie) Gunn of Macon, Georgia, Charles (Priscilla) Gunn of Newnan, Georgia, Warren “Skip” (Barbara) Call of Stockbridge Georgia, James (Marie) Call of Greenville, Georgia; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sylvia (David) Chadwick of Doraville Georgia, and Karen (Bruce) Rainwater of Gainesville, Georgia; several nieces and nephews. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Butch Crook, and four sisters, Gail Summerlyn, Sandra Stover, Elizabeth Price and Jackie Coggins; and daughter Sharon Cody; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

 A memorial gathering for Jerry Gunn will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday Oct. 6, 2018, at Bible Baptist Church, 275 Hillcrest Rd., Hogansville, GA 30230.
