The LaGrange Police Department is investigating a robbery that took place Wednesday evening outside of Wal-Mart on New Franklin Road.

A woman told police she was exiting the store around 11 p.m. when a black male driving a silver Nissan Altima exited his vehicle and grabbed her purse from the shopping cart.

In a press release, the LPD said the suspect drove off with an undisclosed amount of money and jewelry. The suspect is described as 5-foot-8, 250 pounds with light skin.
