Deacon Jack Parks

Deacon Jack Parks passed away Sunday.

He was born in Meriwether County, Georgia on Dec. 29, 1926, to the late Sallie and Abe Parks.

He was educated in Greenville, served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from William L. Bonnell, Inc.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Eddress Parks of Greenville, Georgia; one son, Wayne (Jennie) Parks of Greenville, Georgia; one daughter, Jackie (Roger) Woodyard, LaGrange, Georgia; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Annette Parks, Mrs. Laura Evans, Mrs. Martha J (Fred) Baker; two brothers-in-law, Mr. Edward Parks and Mr. MacArthur Parks along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Springfield Baptist Church, Greenville.
