Mrs. Vivian Elaine Smith Claar, age 56, of Newnan, passed away on Oct. 19, 2018, at the Emory University Hospital.  Mrs. Claar was born on April 10, 1962, in LaGrange to Calvin Smith and Ellen Barber Phillips. Her father preceded her in death.  She worked for the Coweta County School System as a Paraprofessional at Lee Middle School. Mrs. Claar lived a life full of compassion, had an enormous love of family, selflessness in doing for others, was crafty, held a deep appreciation for nature and was a Christian. In addition to her mother, Ellen Barber Phillips (Don Phillips), she is survived by her husband, Randy Edward Claar; sons, Matthew Claar and Joseph Claar; sisters, Lynda Green (Tony) and Cindy Jackson; nieces, Annie Morrow (Blake), Emma Brannon (Will), Tanya Jones (Jeff); nephew, Lucas Green (Erica); extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at 3 p.m. at the Higgins LaGrange Chapel.  Private family interment services will follow. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until service hour at the funeral home.
