Troup bows out at state

The season came to a close for Troup’s volleyball team on Wednesday in the second round of the Class AAAA state tournament.
Facing a powerful Marist team, Troup lost in three straight sets.
Troup lost the first two sets 25-9 and 25-9 before dropping the final set 25-12.
Troup, which finished third in Region 5-AAAA to qualify for state, beat North Oconee in a dramatic first-round match.
Troup rallied from behind to win the final two sets and advance to the second round for the second time in three years.
The future is bright for Troup with most of the players returning.
Seniors Regina Hernandez and Anna Murphy graduate, but everyone else will come back for the 2019 season.
