Ana Lambert, nurse manager of fourth floor at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center has been named 2018 Working Mother of Year by Working Mother magazine.  The annual award recognizes this WellStar mother for her contribution to the health system while balancing work and family demands. Lambert, who lives in LaGrange, is the wife of Chris Lambert. Together they have five children: Maigen, 20; Grayson,18; Macie, 16; Ethan, 3 and Sophi, 1.

“WellStar has been there for the birth of my children, while I was a student earning my nursing and master’s degrees, Chris’ diagnosis of ALS two years ago and everything else in between,” said Lambert. “My coworkers celebrate with me, cry with me and most importantly, they support me.”

Lambert began working at WellStar in 2007 and has held several nursing positions of increasing responsibility. She holds a master of science in nursing in leadership from Phoenix University, which she earned in 2017 while working as a nursing supervisor. Lambert is currently pursuing a doctor of nursing practice in nursing leadership at Troy University.

In addition, Working Mother named WellStar Health System to its annual list of the 2018 “100 Best Companies,” celebrating companies that lead in the areas of female career advancement, paid parental leave, childcare assistance, benefits and flextime. WellStar Health System was among the 100 companies that earned a spot on this year’s list for its innovative work-life balance programs and emphasis on team member wellness.
