Virginia Speegle Kyle

Virginia Speegle Kyle passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Kyle was born in Hampton, Virginia, to the late Hobart and Mabel Richardson Speegle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joseph Hertzler Kyle and siblings, Hobart Speegle, Jr. (Jane), James W. Speegle (Katherine).

Survivors include her son, Joseph H. Kyle, Jr. (Beverly); daughter, Nancy Kyle Fraser (John); grandsons, Cameron Kyle Fraser, Kevin Joseph Kyle and John Briggs Fraser IV; and siblings, Ann Wentworth, Fran S. Cocke, Ellen S. Moseley (Robert), and Betty S. Chapman (Milton); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Mrs. Kyle attended Mary Washington University in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and was a graduate of Newport News Business School, Newport News, Virginia.

Mrs. Kyle was a member of First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange. She loved her family and special interests including the Reviewer’s Guild, the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra, LaGrange College, her garden, traveling and art. She hopes to have left the world a more beautiful place.

The celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at First Presbyterian Church of LaGrange with the Rev. Jan Stewart Tolbert and the Rev. James Goodlet officiating. The gathering of family and friends will immediately follow the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, Virginia, on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 120 Broad Street, LaGrange, GA 30240, the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra, 301 Church Street, LaGrange, GA 30240, or Wellstar West Georgia Hospice, 1510 Vernon Road, LaGrange, GA 30240 in Mrs. Kyle’s memory.
