Around 1 p.m. on Sunday, officers from the LaGrange Police Department responded to reports that someone had been stabbed on the 200 block of North Dawson Street.

According to a press release, when officers arrived on the scene, the victim said that he was involved in a verbal dispute with his roommate, Shelton L. Howell, who stabbed him with a steak knife. The victim was transported to WellStar West Georgia Medical Center, where he reportedly received 11 stitches. 

Howell was arrested at the scene.
